ICMC Boston 2025 and PARMA Recordings

Best of the Listening Rooms Digital Album release

ICMC BOSTON 2025, in collaboration with PARMA Recordings, is pleased to announce the planned release of a digital album consisting of the Best of the Listening Rooms to be selected from the works accepted for presentation in the listening rooms for ICMC BOSTON 2025. A specially appointed judging panel will select these works, including Marc Battier, Kerry Hagan, Georg Hajdu, and Mary Simoni.

The 50th Anniversary of the International Computer Music Conference will be held in Boston from June 8–14, 2025. ICMC BOSTON 2025 will be a collaboration of five partnering institutions including Northeastern University, New England Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and Emerson College.

For over 15 years PARMA Recordings has brought cutting-edge classical music to listeners around the world, producing over 1,000 albums and presenting GRAMMY® award-winning music that has been featured in settings and situations from CBS to Carnegie Hall, at the top of the Billboard charts, and beyond.

Specializing in high quality audio production, social media promotion, digital advertising, website design and development, and multimedia creation, PARMA’s international team works with a diverse roster of creative types across five independent labels: Navona, Ravello, Big Round, Ansonica, and Albany Records.

PARMA has produced and released world premiere recordings of works by Leonard Bernstein and Chick Corea, GRAMMY®-winning albums with The Crossing and the U.S. Army Field Band, large-scale releases with the London Symphony Orchestra, and successful projects with the likes of Matthew Burtner, Lawrence Ball, James Dashow, Rhonda Rider, and more.

The theme of ICMC BOSTON 2025 is Curiosity, Play, Innovation – A 50th Anniversary Celebration of Creativity in Music, Science and Technology – an homage to the working spirit of David Wessel (1942-2014), who organized the inaugural ICMC at Michigan State University in 1974.
