The Fun of Number – for electronics and visuals (2024) ; 10:09

by Yikeshan Abudushalamu

Shanghai Conservatory of Music

“The Fun of Number” is an electroacoustic composition with an intergraded visual component that delves into the musical and symbolic richness of the number 7 and its derivatives. The piece uses the number 7 as a guiding principle for its both macro and micro structures, rhythmic patterns, pitch organization, and sonic texture, creating a multilayered exploration of numerical aesthetics. The result is a captivating audiovisual experience that merges mathematical curiosity with sonic creativity, inviting the audience to experience the “funs” inherent in numerical form transformed into sound and image.
