Life:prehension is a fixed media work of audio-visual category, the author first generates sound elements through AI and remixes them to edit and synthesize complete music, and then takes field film and reproduces it to form visual images. The cycle of life is the common essence of human and nature. The concept of “prehension” was introduced by Whitehead in 1929, refers to the way entities in the universe relate to and incorporate aspects of other entities into their own experience which is a fundamental mode of how us human beings perceive the meaningful others in the nature and universe. This work was inspired by the concept of “prehension”, which aims to reflect the special induction and connection between human and nature, and tries to simulate a life experience through audio-visual language.
