Serendipity (2024); 4:01

by Yin-Chi Chang

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University

Serendipity signifies the unexpected beauty of life’s encounters. Through this four-minute composition, I express deep gratitude for the extraordinary people and transformative experiences that have shaped my journey. The piece unfolds across three distinct sections, with the persistent sound of ticking serving as a poignant motif that symbolizes the continuous and inexorable passage of time. The work weaves together a rich tapestry of sounds, including electronic textures, guitar melodies, vocal expressions, and concrete sounds.
