Light of Water (2025) ; 4:31

by Hyunjin Yoo

Independent Artist

It is said that water always moves according to the amount of energy and the amount it reaches. This work was created by collecting and manipulating the sound of water from the stream. The sound of water was recorded through the contact microphone and illuminated. When the sounds in and out of the water intersect in real time through the earphones, I felt like I was in a different dimension and space. Also, when the light was shining into the water, new living things were seen in the water. I wanted to express these momentarily intersecting new senses through music while listening to various sounds through recording. Water has no sound, but it can make various sounds depending on the medium. And it flows. I want to pay attention to the various characteristics of the sound of water.
