“Widow’s Mite” (2024) – A Stereo or Eight Channel Fixed Media piece that explores the overlap of traditional concrete music and sound collage works with contemporary ambient and drone music. The work is designed to be listened to from moment to moment while also can be experienced as a soundscape or atmosphere.

Doug Bielmeier

Doug Bielmeier creates, engineers and produces commercial and experimental music tailored for boutique audiences and media. Bielmeier is well known for his innovative soundscapes; blending electronic, experimental, and commercial influences. His 2021 album, “Ambient Works” (Albany Records) charted #1 on the North American College and Community Radio (NACC) chart. With a diverse discography spanning multiple labels, His work has earned awards, has been featured at renowned festivals worldwide, and broadcast on stations such as MIT’s WMBR and SomaFM’s Drone Zone, reaching over 1 Million listeners. Bielmeier lives and works in Boston, USA, where he is a Teaching Professor in the Music Department at Northeastern University.
